Juathuur's Summer Finale Contest 2007

As many of you know, we are rapidly approaching the conclusion of this incarnation of Juathuur. A sequel is in the works, but in the meantime I hope we can celebrate the end of this storyline with a bang. In that spirit, I am announcing a final blowout contest. It'll last the whole summer, so that should give all you artists and writers out there plenty of time to sharpen your pencils and pull off something fantastic ^^

All entries should be e-mailed to me at gammyun@hotmail.com with "Summer Finale Contest Submission" in the subject line. Please include in the body of the email your name or the handle you would like to be identified as, the title of the work if there is one, and any return links/urls you would like to be included with your entry.

Deadline: EDIT: Extended Indefinitely till I deem that I have enough entries

Once the contest is over and the winners are declared, all entries will be posted here in the forum.

If you would like to share your entries or WIPs before the contest is over, you can post them in this thread, but of course that's completely up to you

The contest categories are:

FANART CONTEST - any and all media as long as it relates to Juathuur. Digital art, paintings, drawings, sculptures, collages, 3-D CGs, animations, and clever photomanips are all welcome. Images should be saved as .jpg, .gif or .png @ 72 dpi

FANFICTION CONTEST - any length of prose or poetry relating to Juathuur. Short submissions can be pasted in the body of the e-mail, otherwise attach as a .doc, .docx, .rtf or .txt.

PRIZES
There will be 1 WINNER and 1 RUNNER-UP for each category, unless for some reason I declare a tie or there aren't enough entries. There are some extra bonuses in the prizes this time around, check them out:

FANART
The Winner will get:
- 1 custom giftart/wallpaper by me
- Their entry included in the printed version of Juathuur (vol I or II, depending on when they come out)
- 1 free copy of the printed version of Juathuur, vol I

The Runner-Up Will get:
- 1 custom giftart/wallpaper by me

FANFICTION
The Winner will get:
- 1 custom giftart/wallpaper by me
- Their name and the title of their work mentioned in the printed version of Juathuur, vol I or II (I don't think I will have the space to actually included the entry, but if this changes, I will announce it)
- 1 free copy of the printed version of Juathuur, vol I when it comes out (don't know when this will be yet, but stay tuned)

The Runner-Up will get:
- 1 custom giftart/wallpaper by me
