I'm been doing some sketching for the Juathuur sequel, so I thought I'd open up a topic to share some of those and any other random doodles I feel like posting. I will try to stay away from anything that will spoil upcoming chapters, but you'll get a sneak peek at some of the new characters as I work out their designs and such.

Before I get to the new stuff, thought I'd share some oldies dating back to the inception of Juathuur:

This is an unfinished comic page from my first attempt to start Juathuur back when I was bored in an art history class in uni. It started off with an alternate version of the current prologue, in which Faevv was a lot younger and the characters and style were totally different. It wasn't jiving, so I abandoned it for other projects until a couple years later when the idea surfaced again.


This is a page of doodles from one of my notebooks - drawn during tech class I believe - showing some of the really early versions of the main characters.

And here's one of those sneak peeks I was talking about. This guy is one of my long-standing villains. The sequel will introduce at least two of the demi-gods (half-human, half-god) that feature in my pantheon and he is one of them. The other one is a girl and her design is giving me a big headache because she's a bit of an oddball. Anyhoo, enjoy! More will be coming along after I get this next batch of pages done.

That hooded guy looks like the Sith emperor from Star Wars. And this comes from a guy who plain forgot to go watch Episode 3 when it was in the movie theaters.

Wow, Mordith looks kinda cute and sexy in a psycho way. :p
